My painting:
We had to make a painting for Art Education of the colour wheel of Johannes Itten. this is mine. I've got a 6.0 for it and I am pretty happy with it but I think I could do better than this, because there is everywere paint were it doesn't have to be and you can't even see that there are flowers on it, but a 6.0 is sufficient so I am happy.

Johannes Itten's colour theory:
Artists and designers use colour theory to know the effects of mixing colours. Isaac Newton is the developper of colour theory. Swiss artist Johannes Itten based his colour theory on the work of Newton and others. Artists and designers continue to refer to and use his work also today.
Itten's colour wheel.
Colour mixing:
In the colour wheel you see the colours to mix. You have the primary colours in the middle. The primary colours are:red, blue and yellow. When you mix the primary colours you get secondary colours and that are: orange, green and purple.
You also have the complementary colours. Complementary colours are opposit of each other on the colour wheel. Such colours are for example: red-green
yellow-purple
blue-orange
